Who do you think you are?

Anyone can write website copy right? Perhaps, but not everyone can write good copy. The kind of copy that turns half interested browsers into paying clients. So what makes me so sure that I can deliver the goods? Well, if you’re still reading, that’s a good start.

I'm Clare Crossan, an experienced copywriter based in Glasgow.

The history bit.

Language has always been my passion and I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2005 with an honours degree in modern languages.

Since 2005 I have spent time working as a freelance translator, as well as working in house for two multi-national companies where I gained experience in writing advertising copy for both print and online products.

What I'm up to now.

I established WordPlay in 2010 and love writing freelance copy. I get to choose the projects that I think I will enjoy, and write about the subjects that interest me. After all, a happy copywriter is an effective copywriter. I’m based in Glasgow but I’m not picky, you don’t need to be local for me to tackle your project.

I’m probably about the only writer who doesn’t have a novel on the back burner.
